It must be mentioned here that the success of the book depends on the teaching techniques and the teacher’s ability to be creative and to prompt the student to think, ask and to judge events by comparison and argument.

The teacher must bear in mind that the purpose of teaching Social Studies is not memorization of events and facts. The purpose is to understand human behavior, to gain an understanding of the "rights and "wrongs" of past and present cultures and their impact on man’s welfare and the world. The student must be guided to think freely and judge the positive and negative points of various cultures.
