The great scholars of Islam have worked meticulously throughout our history to produce many comprehensive, detailed books on the science of tajweed. But despite their monumental efforts, we find today that it is difficult to find books in this science that are simple, straightforward, and easy to read. Because of this, the MAS Quran Institute has tasked a committee of experts with creating a textbook on the science of tajweed that is simple, straightforward, and easy to read while also being complete and comprehensive in its coverage of the content of the science.

This series is a building block towards learning the Islamic knowledge based on the various age groups, starting with level one. The first level includes the concepts that are appropriate for students in the 8-6 age group. The second level is geared towards the 11-9 age group. The third level is prepared for the 14-12 age group and finally, the -15 18 age group. The first book in this series is organized to bridge the gap between the personal values that a child should be taught verses the Islamic values that are taught in schools and are required to be used in the child's everyday life. The success of this curriculum cannot be achieved without the acknowledgement of all sides involved including students, teachers, parents and educational administrators. We ask Allah (SWT) to help make the success of this program easy and that it be for the sake of attaining His (SWT) pleasure.

As a continuation of the efforts utilized to build the second stage of our educational platform, we have laid out various topics in order to establish a greater educational understanding. These topics include various subjects that are consistent in form and structure. The chapters cover the topics of creed, values, jurisprudence, Islamic behaviors and moral conduct, stories of the companions, hadith, memorization, and the names of Allah (SWT). This step is considered the second stage of our educational process that is being taught in our Quranic centers. This stage is meant to serve students in the 9–12 age group. The objectives of this stage are to create a sound perception and understanding of the terms and topics, while helping students achieve the appropriate Islamic behaviors in their everyday lives and be effective elements of change in their home countries. Building this sound Islamic educational structure requires vigorous effort from teachers and students in order to plant the seed of Islamic knowledge. In the noble hadith, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) states, ''Allah will continue to plant new people in this religion and use them in His obedience." Through constant review of the values and behaviors that our children use, we can guarantee the best of Islamic education, knowing that everything in this life is in the hands of Allah (SWT).
