    Complete Qa'idah (Madinah Script)

The Safar Complete Qaʿidah is vastly different from other qaʿidahs available: it is a product of over a decade of consultation and teaching experience. It contains 13 progressive levels, each targeting a unique feature of learning. Each level ensures a gradual and logical progression that fills the gaps which exist in many other qaʿidahs. Explanatory graphics and supplementary exercises have also been included, providing a comprehensive approach to learning to read the Quran. There are only Quranic examples in this qāʿidah, and the script has been imported directly from the Madinah Quran, which is used worldwide. We have done this because computer fonts and alternative calligraphers do not prepare students well enough to read the hand-written Quranic script. The Qaʿidah forms part of the Safar Learn to Read Series, a comprehensive curriculum including the Safar Juzʾ ʿAmma and the Safar Rules of Tajwīd book. 13 progressive levels Learning objectives and checklist Unique marking code Homework diary Teacher/Parent Friendly Original Quranic script This teacher- and parent-friendly qa'idah has been tried and tested over several years at Safar Academy and is part of a comprehensive series.

Juz' 'Amma (Madinah Script) - Learn to Read Series

The Safar Juz’ ‘Amma is part of the Safar Learn to Read series. It should be read after completing the Safar Qaʿidah, which consists of 13 progressive levels, each targeting a unique feature of learning. While reading the Safar Juz’ ‘Amma, students will enhance their application of the 13 levels covered in the Safar Qaʿidah, building on fluency and the ability to read longer passages in a single breath. This book can also be covered in conjunction with the Safar Tajwid book—a sequel to the Safar Qaʿidah. Unlike other contemporary Juz’ ‘Ammas, this book has been published with the surahs in the correct Quranic order, to help students to remember the sequence of surahs for correct salah performance. Its script has been imported directly from the popular 13-line Quran that is used throughout the world. The text is not color-coded for tajwid rules, so that students will be able to read black and white Qurans without such aids. The Safar Juz’ ‘Amma’s unique marking code, diary, and checklist are elements that have been designed to keep track of a student’s progress and to enhance the communication between students, parents, and teachers.

  • Rules of Tajwid (Madinah Script)

    Rules of Tajwid (Madinah Script)

Rules of Tajwid is the sequel to the Safar Qaʿidah and part of the comprehensive Safar Learn to Read Series. This book consists of seven progressive levels, each targeting a unique feature of learning, which follow on from the 13 levels of the Safar Qaʿidah. It may be taught alongside Safar Juz ʿAmma or while a student starts to read the Quran. While reading the book, students will master the application of tajwid in the passages of the Quran that are to be read to the teacher. This book is the product of teaching tajwid for several years at Safar Academy and will help students to gradually reach a proficient level of Quran recitation. The script has been imported directly from the Madinah Quran, which is used worldwide. The text is not color-coded with tajwid rules, so that students are able to read black and white Qurans without such aids. It includes a unique marking code, diary, and checklist, designed to keep track of students’ progress and enhance communication between students, parents, and teachers.
