The second volume includes six units of two lessons each. The content is designed based on students’ values, self-discovery, and connection to reality. The content differs in the processes of tackling the concepts, the content, linguistic skills, and their application to better suit each level.

This enables teachers to easily implement differentiation in their classrooms. Each unit includes a listening activity, comprehension questions, discussion prompts, and questions for critical thinking. Each unit uses the pyramid approach to education and learning, where students’ current and future learning is built on prior knowledge. It also presents integrated activities that work alongside the curricular mapping for each level and for students’ abilities.

At the end of this level, students should be able to do the following:
  • Recognize letters that are similar in shape and pronunciation
  • Accurately use long vowels and stressed syllables
  • Create words using different letters
  • Differentiate between the letter alif with and without a hamzah
  • Differentiate between laam al-shamsiyah and laam al-qamariyah, both written and pronounced
  • Use the letters laam and kaaf with al-
  • Use nominal and verbal sentences
  • Use the pronouns I, he, and she
  • Use the masculine and feminine demonstrative (this)
  • Differentiate between singular and plural
  • Switch words from masculine to feminine and vice versa
  • Use both masculine and feminine forms of present and past tense verbs
  • Use words of negation, exclamation words, prepositions, and adverbs of place, space, and time

This level includes exercises to build comprehension skills, grammatical exercises, spelling drills, exercises for writing skills, and handwriting practice that uses naskh calligraphy, focusing on the quality of the handwriting.

يشتمل هذا المستوى على ست وحدات تعليمية، وكل وحدة تتكون من درسين، بحيث يركز المحتوى على القيم والتدرج من ذات الطالب وواقعه إلى العالم الواسع، وتختلف في العمق والتدرج في المفاهيم والمحتوى ومهارات اللغة والتطبيقات بما يتناسب وكل مستوى، مما يمكن المعلم من مراعاة الفروق الفردية، والتعامل مع أكثر من مستوى في الصف الواحد. وكل وحدة تتضمن قصة استماع تتبع مضمون الوحدة، وأنشطة استيعاب مرافقة. بالإضافة إلى لوحات محادثة تثير التفكير لتكوين قصة تتبع مضمون الوحدة.

وكل وحدة فيها تعلم مجموعة من القيم والمبادئ بطريقة الهرم حسب مستوى الفكر عند الطفل. وتقوم السلسلة على تقديم المحتوى بأسلوب هرمي يعتمد فيه اللاحق على السابق، ويقدم الخبرات اللغوية بالطريقة التوفيقية بأنشطة تسمح بالتوسع الأفقي والعمودي في هذا المستوى بما يتناسب وقدرات الطلبة. وجاءت عناوين الوحدات كالآتي:

  • يميز الحروف المتشابهة في الشكل، والحروف المتقاربة في اللفظ.
  • يستخدم المدود والشدة استخداما سليما، ويحلل الكلمات إلى مقاطعها الصوتية، ويركب كلمات من حروف ومقاطع.
  • يميز الألف والألف المهموز والمدة، والتنوين.
  • يميز بين التاء المربوطة والمفتوحة، والهاء المربوطة والتاء االمربوطة.
  • يميز بين ال الشمسية والقمرية لفظًا وكتابةً.
  • يستخدم حرفي اللام والكاف مع ال التعريف.
  • يستخدم نمط الجملة الاسمية، ونمط الجملة الفعلية.
  • يستخدم الضمائر: ( أنا هو هي )، وأسماء الإشارة ( هذا هذه ).
  • يميز المفرد والجمع، ويحول من التذكير إلى التأنيث وبالعكس.
  • يستخدم تذكير وتأنيث الفعل الماضي و الفعل المضارع.
  • يستخدم النفي بلا، وأسلوب التعجب، وحروف الجر، وظروف المكان
