Within each unit are seven to eight “'to the point” lessons dealing with conversational Arabic, reading, vocabulary and linguistic structures, applied grammar, spelling and dictation, review and reinforcement and finally cultural enrichment. هذا هو الكتاب الثالث، للصف الثالث الابتدائي، ضمن الجيل الثاني من منهج اقرأ المتكامل لتعليم اللغة العربية لغير الناطقين بها. و كما ذكرنا سابقا في الكتابين السابقين، فان هذا الجيل الثاني سوف يكون في اثني عشر كتابا، يغطي كل منها مادة اللغة العربية لسنة من سنوات الدراسة من الصف الاول حتى الصف الثاني عشر. و بما ان كتب هذا الجيل الثاني مصممة لتغطية حاجات المدارس الاسبوعية الكاملة، و ليس مدارس نهايات الاسبوع، فمن الطبيعي ان تكون مادة هذه الكتب أوسع و أشمل؛ لتوفر مادة دراسية كافية للتلاميذ على مدار ثلاثين اسبوعا، و بواقع اربع الى خمس حصص اسبوعيا. و سوف يلاحظ المدرسون و المدرسات ان هذا الكتاب، كسابقه و لاحقه، مبني على فكرة محاور دراسية محددة؛ حيث يندرج تحت كل محور عدد من الوحدات، و يندرج تحت كل وحدة مجموعة من الدروس لقصيرة التي تركز على جانب محدد من مهارات اللغة التي نتوخى من التلاميذ ان يدرسوها بطريقة متوازنة، فيخرج المتعلم ببرنامجدراسي متكامل، و تكون حصيلته كلا متكاملا يتعامل مع اللغة ككائن حي يرتبط بحياة التلميذ، و يجعل تعلم اللغة تجربة حيوية و مشوقة. و يستعين الكتاب بالصور الجذابة لتقديم المعاني و الايحاءات، و بالالوان للتشويق و ابراز نقاط التركيز المتوخاه، و بالتدريبات الكثيرة لاتقان القراءة و الكتابة. كما تقدم في كل وحدة نماذج من الاناشيد و الحكم و الامثال و أدب الفكاهة و القصص القصيرة الهادفة التي من شأنها أن تقدم للدارسين الى جانب التشويق و التسلية، نماذج من البعد الثقافي و الحضاري المرتبطين باللغة العربية. كما يهدف هذا الكتاب الى تيسير القراءة و النطق و الاستيعاب و تطوير القدرة على المحادثة عن طريق استعمال عدد محدد من المفردات الاكثر شيوعا و تناسبا مع بيئة الدارس في هذه المرحلة الابتدائية؛ حيث يتعلم التلاميذ عددا محددا من الاسماء و الافعال و الصفات و الادوات و حروف المعاني التي يتكرر استعمالها بعد تقديمها لاول مرة من خلال التدريبات و النشاطات الموجودة في كتاب التلميذ هذا و في كتاب التدريبات المرافق له. و من الجدير بالذكر أن العمل على اعداد هذه السلسلة الجديدة قد تزامن أولا مع الحديث المتزايد عن ضرورة تطبيق معايير اللغة العربية في المدارس الحكومية منذ المراحل الابتدائية. و سوف يأخذ منهج اقرأ في تعليم اللغة العربية كل هذه المستجدات بعين الاعتبار ما أمكن؛ و لكن دون ان يكون ذلك بطريقة مصطنعة و نظرية بحتة. فنحن نؤمن ان للغة العربية، كلغة قديمة و حديثة و كلغة حية، خصوصياتها الفريدة التي يجب أن تؤخذ بعين الاعتبار عند اعداد مواد الدراسة و التدريس الخاصة بها، و إن كان ذلك يعني أحيانا عدم مطابقتها تماما للنظريات السائدة في زمن ما بشأن تدريس اللغات الغربية الاخرى. فشعارنا في هذا أن بعض القديم أنفع من الحديث في التعليم، و أن الخلط بين القديم و الحديث هو خير السبل للانتفاع بما هو مفيد من الجانبين. و بالاضافة لكتاب التدريبات المرافق لكتاب التلميذ هذا، فسوف يرافق كل كتاب من هذه السلسلة الجديدة دليل المعلم، بصورة كتاب الكتروني على قرص مدمج. و بحتوي هذا الدليل، بالاضافة الى الخطوط العريضة للمنهج و إرشادات للمدرس/ المدرسة، على نماذج امتحانات دورية للوحدات، و مواد اضافية مكملة، و توصيات محددة بطريقة تدريس الدروس المختلفة في الكتاب. كما يشتمل على توصيات باستعمال وسائل الكترونية سمعية- بصرية، مكملة لمادة هذا الكتاب، بقصد ادخال عنصر التنويع و التشويق و الترويح عن النفس الى حصص اللغة العربية.
