This book consists of 20 lessons, has 88 pages, measures 21x28 cm, and is printed in four colors.
A glossary at the end of the book is arranged in order of the units and presents words in both Arabic and English, to make it easy for students, teachers, and parents to find exactly what they are looking for and to aid in comprehension.
Lessons focus on the Arabic alphabet, vocabulary, and structures. Narrative texts, descriptive texts, and short dialogues teach students the Arabic language in an interesting environment.
The Arabic letters are ordered with the easiest and most interesting ones first so that students can learn them easily.
The different shapes of the letters are presented clearly, since this book doesn't use two shapes for each letter (as was done in kindergarten). It is important for students to learn to distinguish the shapes at this stage.
The twenty lessons of this book present subjects such as:
My Family (the role of every member in a family, responsibilities, respect and cooperation)
My House's Furniture (parts of a house, names of the rooms, sharing, cleaning, organizing, electrical appliances, maintenance)
My School's Location (directions, locating an address, street names, districts, means of transportation, follow instructions, paying careful attention)
The Weather (the four seasons, plants, animals, temperatures, different environments, the relationship between seasons and clothes, kind of foods, giving thanks to Allah for all of his blessings)
My City (means of transportation, traffic signs, traffic rules, day and night, lighting and electricity, technology, pollution)
During Eid (greetings, giving gifts, being healthy, wearing clean clothes, visiting family and relatives, parks and recreation, etiquette, amusement parks)
I Count and Calculate (useful games, the numbers from 1-20, distinguishing between numbers, counting by ten, calculating, helping others)
Various Subjects (means of transportation, the importance and sources of water, cooperation, the greatness of our creator, modern technology)

Each lesson has 6-9 activities that teach students different language skills like reading, writing, conversation, and listening. Examples of these activities are:

This book also has eight easy to learn nasheeds that were chosen especially for this series. The end of each lesson has a nasheed that focuses on the main concepts that lesson presents. For example, one focuses on cleaning and organizing and another focuses on home furniture and another focuses on toys.
Each lesson in this book uses interesting drawings, main concepts, and bright colors to make the book and lessons interesting to students and to encourage them to learn.
أوّلاً: كتاب الطالب :
- يقع الكتاب في (88 صفحة) حجم 21×28 (أربعة ألوان).
- يتكوّن الكتاب من عشرين دَرْساً.
- يرد في نهاية الكتاب معجم الكلمات الأساسية التي تمّ استخدامها في الكتاب، إذ وردت مرتّبة حسب ورودها في وحدات الكتاب، فتمّ إيراد الكلمة باللغة العربيّة وترجمتها باللغة الإنجليزيّة، لتكون عَوْناً للطفل الدّراس وللمعلّمة / المعلّم، وللوالديْن في إدراك المطلوب بدقّة.
- تركّز دروس الكتاب جميعها على تعليم الطفل حروف اللغة العربية والكلمات والتراكيب الأساسيّة، من خلال نصوص سرديّة وصفيّة وحواريّة قصيرة معبرة، لتعليم الأطفال اللغة العربية من خلال سياق لغويّ هادف جميل وممتع.
- تمّ ترتيب تعليم حروف اللغة العربيّة في الدّروس المتتابعة، حسب الأسهل والأشْيَع، ليتمكّن الأطفال من تعلّمها بيُسْرٍ وسهولة.
- تمّ الاهتمام بتعليم الطفل الأشكال المختلفة للحروف، وعدم اعتماد شكليْن فقط (كما فعلنا في مستويي الرّوضة) لضرورة تعليم الطفل ذلك في هذه السنّ، وقدرته على استيعابها وتفهّمها وتعلّمها.
- تعرض دروس الكتاب العشرون، لجملة من العناوين والقضايا أهمّها:
أسرتي (دور كلّ فرد فيها، وما عليه من واجبات، والاحترام والتعاون).
أثاث بيتي (أقسام البيت، ومسمّياته، ومسمّيات الأثاث المستخدم، والمشاركة والنظافة والترتيب والأدوات الكهربائية، والمحافظة على الممتلكات).
موقع مدرستي (الاتجاهات، تحديد العنوان، واسم الشارع، والحيّ...، ووسائل المواصلات، واتّباع التعليمات، والانتباه والحذر).
الطّقس (الفصول الأربعة، وربطها بالنباتات والحيوانات والحرارة والبيئات، وعلاقة الفصول بالملابس وأنواع الأطعمة، وشُكْر الله على نعمه).
مدينتي (وسائل المواصلات، إشارات المرور، وآداب المرور، والليل والنّهار، والإضاءة والكهرباء، والتكنولوجيا، والتلوّث).
في العيد (آداب التحيّة، وتقديم الهدايا، والمحافظة على الملابس والصّحّة، وزيارة الأهل والأقارب، وآداب التعامل مع الحدائق والمتنزّهات ومدينة الألعاب).
أعدّ وأحسب (ألعاب مفيدة، والأعداد 1-20، وتمييز العدد، والعدّ عشرات، والحاسوب، ومساعدة الآخرين).
موضوعات متنوّعة (وسائل المواصلات، وأهميّة الماء ومصادره، والتعاون، وعظمة الخالق، والتكنولوجيا الحديثة).
- يركّز كتاب الطالب وكتاب التمارين والأنشطة معاً على أن يدرس الطفل في هذا المستوى بأسلوب سهل وميسّر، دون شرح أو تعقيد، ما يأتي:
جميع الحروف والمدود والحركات.
ال التعريف، والتنوين.
التاء المربوطة والمفتوحة، والهاء المربوطة.
الظروف.
أسماء الإشارة.
أسماء الاستفهام.
الضّمائر.
المفرد والجمع.

- اشتمل كلّ درس من الدّروس العشرين على أنشطة متنوّعة تتراوح بين ستة-تسعة (6-9) أنشطة (غالباً)، تعلّم الطفل مهارات اللغة العربيّة المختلفة (القراءة والكتابة والمحادثة والاستماع)، من مِثْل أَنشطة: أتحدّث، أستمع وأقرأ، ألاحظ وأتحدّث، أقرأ وأميّز الحرف، أقرأ وأصل وأعدّ، أقرأ وأصل بين الكلمات المتماثلة، أقرأ وأتعرّف، أركّب أكثر من جملة وأقرأ، ألاحظ الحرف وأضع دائرة حول الكلمة التي تحتوي عليه..إلخ.
- يضمّ الكتاب ثمانية أناشيد جميلة سهلة الإيقاع، نُظمت خِصّيصاً لهذه السلسلة، إذ ترد الأنشودة في نهاية كلّ درس من الدروس، تركّز على المعاني والمفاهيم الأساسيّة، التي يعرض لها ذاك الدّرس. فأنشودة تركّز على النّظافة والترتيب، وثانية تبيّن مالَهُ علاقة بأثاث البيت، وثالثة حول أدوات الطفل وألعابه، وهكذا... .
- عُرضت دروس الكتاب من خلال رسوم شائقة زاهية، تحبّب الكتاب ودروسه إلى الطفل، وتجعله يقبل على التعلّم بشوق واندفاع.
