Explore Noorart’s New Islamic Studies Series

We are excited to introduce a new Islamic Social Studies curriculum series designed for elementary schools across the USA and North America. This series includes five books, covering Grades 1 through 5. It is thoughtfully developed using a spiral, integrative approach, where key concepts are revisited at each grade level with increasing depth and complexity. Rather than teaching topics in isolation, the curriculum connects themes to create a cohesive and meaningful learning experience. For instance, students are first introduced to Salah (prayer) in Grade 1 in a simple and engaging way. As they advance through the grades, their understanding gradually deepens—exploring its steps, timings, conditions, meanings, rules, and spiritual significance—leading to a well-rounded and mature comprehension by Grade 5.

This progressive structure ensures that learning remains developmentally appropriate, reinforces previously acquired knowledge, and supports lasting understanding.

The series content is organized into five main sections:

  1.  Aqidah (Imaan): Covers foundational beliefs such as some of Allah’s Most Beautiful Names, the pillars of Islam, and the pillars of Imaan.
  2.  Manners and Society: Focuses on essential values and social ethics, including the rights of parents and neighbors, visiting the sick, practicing patience, and speaking the truth.
  3.  Ibadat (Worship): Introduces acts of worship such as performing wudu’, establishing salah, understanding prayer rules, and making dua’.
  4. Seerah and the Stories of the Prophets: Highlights key events from the life of the Prophet ﷺ—such as the Black Stone incident and the migration to Habasha—as well as the stories of Prophets Ibrahim, Nuh, Musa, Ayyub, and others.
  5.  The Noble Qur’an: Includes selected short surahs from Juz ‘Amma, carefully chosen to align with each lesson’s theme. Some lessons also feature an “Amazing Ayaat” section, offering additional Qur’anic verses to encourage deeper reflection and understanding.

This series is designed to support both classroom instruction and home learning. It aims to nurture students’ spiritual development while strengthening their understanding of core Islamic
concepts. Parents and teachers play a vital role in reinforcing the lessons through discussion, reflection, and practical application. With consistent guidance and support, students can develop a meaningful and lasting connection to their faith. The program is structured for steady and manageable implementation: one unit is intended to be taught each month, with one chapter covered per week. Each book contains 8 units. Every unit is divided into 4 chapters, and each chapter consists of 3 lessons, ensuring a clear and organized learning progression.
