Speaking two languages can lead to a cultural closure, where understanding is limited by the knowledge of these two languages alone. The aim of this work, a trilingual dictionary by Ola Abd al-Hamid, is to increase understanding, and bridge the gaps between a greater number of languages, peoples and cultures. Specifically, Arabic vocabulary and its equivalents from the Spanish and French languages are introduced side by side to create a connection between the three languages in the mind of the reader.

This dictionary is designed to meet the needs of students residing in Spain or France; of thinkers and researchers who are in touch with the Spanish and French culture; or of people generally interested in these two languages and contains more than 30 thousand entries. It is arranged alphabetically according to the Arabic words, and each word is listed alongside its equivalents in Spanish and French. The dictionary is comprehensive, and encompasses the accurate and documented intricacies of each language. This work should prove useful to anyone studying, researching or translating in these languages.
