The book "My Kindergarten" is the starting point for Granada's programs for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. It is the first product of a collaborative team effort that benefits from individual and institutional expertise, placing the young learner at the center of its concerns.
The authors of the book have worked diligently on development, diversification, and innovation, giving it unique features not found elsewhere. It is based on an educational approach centered around play through integrated interactive activities that improve learning environments and enhance the ability to acquire the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The book includes over 400 educational activities, including presentations, explanations, reminders, exercises, and quizzes, aimed at achieving "self-independence" for the young learner by presenting information in a smooth, flexible, gradual, and organized manner that aids in comprehension and effective utilization.
The book provides children with opportunities to practice various mental activities that help develop their cognitive abilities and effectively employ them in recognizing Arabic letters and distinguishing between their sounds and shapes in both reading and writing. It enhances children's vocabulary and expressive abilities with more than 250 words and phrases derived from their reality and based on noble educational and value-based objectives.
The book also establishes the concept of the "educational kit," where "My Kindergarten" forms the core around which additional educational tools revolve, such as the songbook, the writing notebook, letter cards, and a picture puzzle game, all of which constitute a comprehensive program for learning, playing, and entertainment.
