The back of the book has a glossary with words arranged in the order they appear in the book. The Arabic word appears next to its English translation to help the student, the teacher, and the parents to precisely comprehend the meaning. All the lessons teach students basic words and structures through a variety of texts: some are narrative, and some are dialogues. All of them are fun, exciting, and work together to teach students Arabic language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) using purposeful linguistic contexts that relate students’ to the world around them. The lessons include the following topics: Everyday things, like shopping at the market. Some behavioral issues, like helping those who need it, having good manners, and the manners of swimming. Enjoying nature, like enjoying spring and having some positive adventures. Some wondrous creatures, like carnivorous plants and the secrets of salmon. Some people’s traditions, like those of the Eskimo community or those of global circus performers. Children's rights in life, such as choosing their own clothes. Some intellectuals and writers, such as Dr. Taha Hussain. Nutrition, such as how to prepare some foods of different cultural traditions. Group skills, such as participating in camp scouts, learning about cooperation; and individual skills such as mountain climbing. Writing skills, such as how to write a personal letter using a computer. The textbook and workbook together use a simple and accessible method with different styles of linguistic techniques and exercises that allow students to learn improve their writing and appreciate the Arabic language. Some of the topics included are the following: Subject and predicate of nominal sentences Kana and her sisters (and how they affect the nominal sentence) Second person pronouns (and using them for masculine and feminine subjects) Present-tense verbs and case (nominative, accusative, and jussive) Prepositions that make the present verb accusative or jussive. Duality and plurality Types of plurals (regular masculine plural, regular feminine plural, and irregular plural) Words and their opposites in different contexts How to use some prepositions in different contexts Adverbs of time and place Open and closed ta Long and short alif Using illa (for exceptions) Each of the twenty lessons includes seven activities to help students learn Arabic language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). These activities include the following: I look and say, I listen and answer, I read, I match, I convert, I write, I mark, I fill in the blank, I answer the questions, I search the internet, I ask my classmate, and I look at the picture. The textbook includes eight songs with an easy rhythm that were composed especially for this series. You can find the songs at the end of each lesson. They focus on the essential concepts and meanings of the lesson. Therefore, there is a song that focuses on loving your country; another song focuses on the importance of a varied, healthy diet; and another song focuses on swimming and following the coach’s directions. The lessons include bright illustrations to engage students and make them excited about learning. This level’s textbook comes with a CD. It can be found affixed to the back cover of the book. It includes recordings of the educational material in this level’s books (the textbook, the workbook, and the teacher's guide) so students can listen with their teacher’s supervision during the appropriate points in the lessons. This material was recorded by a specialized company, and was produced especially for children, in a dramatic way that will engage their enthusiasm. يتكوّن هذا الكتاب من (20) دَرْساً و يرد في نهاية الكتاب معجم الكلمات الأساسية التي تمّ استخدامها في الكتاب، إذ وردت مرتّبة حسب ورودها في وحدات الكتاب، فتمّ إيراد الكلمة باللغة العربيّة وترجمتها باللغة الإنجليزيّة، لتكون عَوْناً للطفل الدّراس وللمعلّمة / المعلّم، وللوالديْن في إدراك المطلوب بدقّة. تركّز دروس الكتاب جميعها على تعليم الطفل الكلمات والتراكيب الأساسيّة، من خلال نصوص متنوّعة، بعضها سرديّ، وبعضها حواريّ، ولكنّها جميعها شائقة وممتعة، تتكامل فيما بينها لتعليم الطفل مهارات اللغة العربيّة (القراءة والكتابة والاستماع والمحادثة) من خلال سياق لغويّ هادف جميل، يجمع بين بيئة الطفل التي يعيش فيها، والعالَم الواسع من حوله الذي يتحرك فيه. تعرض دروس الكتاب جملة من العناوين والقضايا أهمّها: معرفة ما يتعلّق بالحياة اليوميّة من حوله مثل: الأسواق الشعبيّة. بعض القضايا الحياتيّة التي تهمّ المتعلّم في سلوكه مثل: مساعدة الضعفاء، ومكارم الأخلاق، وآداب السّباحة.. الاستمتاع بالطبيعة مثل: استثمار فصل الرّبيع، وبعض المغامرات الإيجابيّة. معرفة بعض غرائب الحياة مثل: النباتات الأكلة اللّحوم، وبعض أسرار سمك السّلمون. الاهتمام ببعض القضايا العلميّة التي يعيشها في حياته مثل: الزّراعة المحميّة، وإعادة التدوير، ومصنع الحلوى. التعرّف إلى عادات بعض النّاس الذين يعيشون في بيئات تخالف المألوف الذي اعتاد عليه النّاس مثل: بلاد الأسكيمو، وعروض السّيرك العالميّة. التعرّف إلى حقوق الطفل الأساسيّة في الحياة كحقّه في اختيار ملابسه. معرفة بعض المفكّرين والأدباء المتميّزين ودورهم في الحياة، ومؤلّفاتهم المختلفة، مثل: الدكتور طه حسين. الإلْمام ببعض القضايا الصحيّة التي تهمّه، من ذلك كيفية إعداد الوجبات العالميّة في حضارات مختلفة. تنمية بعض المهارات لديه، سواء أكانت مهارات فرديّة أم جماعيّة، مثل: المشاركة في المخيّمات الكشفيّة وما فيها من تعاون إيجابيّ، وتسلّق الجبال، وما فيها من مهارات فرديّة عالية المستوى، إضافة إلى أنواع أخرى من الرّياضات. تنمية مهارة الكتابة لدى الطفل مثل: كيفية كتابة الرّسائل الشخصيّة عبر الحاسوب. يركّز كتاب الطالب وكتاب التمارين والأنشطة معاً على أن يدرس الطفل في هذا المستوى بأسلوب سهل وميسّر، وبشكل مبسّط، لا إطالة فيه، أنماطاً من الأساليب والتدريبات اللغويّة، التي تسهم في الارتقاء بمستوى كتابته، وتذوّقه للغة العربيّة، من مثل: (المبتدأ والخبر / كان وأخواتها / ضمائر المخاطب / حالات الفعل المضارع / أدوات نصب الفعل المضارع وجزمه / التثنية والجمع / أنواع الجموع / الكلمة وضدها في سياقات مختلفة / كيفية استخدام بعض حروف الجر في سياقات لغوية متنوعة / ظرف الزمان والمكان / التاء المفتوحة والتاء المربوطة / الألف الممدودة والألف المقصورة / أسلوب الاستثناء ). اشتمل كلّ درس من الدّروس العشرين على أنشطة متنوّعة (سبعة أنشطة)، يتعلّم الطفل -من خلالها- مهارات اللغة العربيّة المختلفة (الاستماع والمحادثة والقراءة والكتابة)، من مِثْل أَنشطة: أنظر وأتحدّث، أستمع وأجيب، أقرأ، أصِل، أحوّل، أكتب، أضع إشارة، أملأ الفراغ، أجيب عمّا يأتي، أبحث في الإنترنتّ، أسأل زميلي، أنظر في الصّور...إلخ. يشتمل كتاب الطالب عى ثمانية أناشيد جميلة، سهلة الإيقاع، نُظمت خِصّيصاً لهذه السلسلة، إذ ترد الأنشودة في نهاية الدّرس المعنيّ، وتركّز على المفاهيم والمعاني الأساسيّة، التي يعرض لها ذاك الدّرس. ولذلك نجد في الكتاب أنشودة تركّز على الانتماء للوطن، والحنين إليه، وأنشودة أخرى تركّز على الطّعام الصّحّي وضوروة تنوّعة، بينما نجد أنشودة ثالثة تركّز على آداب السَّباحة، وإرشاد المدرّب للأطفال في أثناء ممارسة هذا النّوع من الرّياضة... وهكذا. - يرافق هذا المستوى CD التسجيل الصوتي (مثبّت في مكان ملائم في نهاية كتاب الطالب) يشتمل على تسجيل المادة العلميّة المقصودة الواردة في كتب المستوى (الطالب+التمارين والأنشطة+دليل المعلّم) ليستمع إليها الطفل، بإشراف المعلّم / المعلّمة، ويتعامل معها بإيجابيّة ودقّة، في المواضع التي تتطلّب ذلك، علماً أنّه تمّ تسجيلها لدى شركة فنيّة متخصّصة بطريقة دراميّة، تلقى الإقبال عليها من الأطفال بجاذبية واندفاع.
