لعب الأدوار : يحتوي على تمارين الكلام، بشكل ثنائي، حتى يكسب التلميذ الطلاقة في استخدام اللغة، ولتحقيق التفاعل والمشاركة والتواصل بين التلاميذ وهي تستثمر المادة اللغوية التي وردت في الحوار . قراءة : هي إحدى المهارات الأساسية التي يسعى دارس اللغة العربية إلى اكتسابها. وقد اشتملت النصوص القرائية على موضوعات ثقافية متنوعة كما أنها جاءت في أشكال تعبيرية مختلفة، حيث دار جانب منها في مجال الثقافة العربية الإسلامية دون إهمال للثقافة العامة، وذلك حتى تكون الموضوعات في مستوى حاجات التلميذ الثقافية. وقد جاءت تلك الموضوعات ممثلة لأكثر الأساليب التعبيرية في العربية، حتى يكون اتصال التلميذ بالكتاب العربي أمراً سهلاً وطبيعياً . والهدف هنا هو :تعويد التلاميذ على القراءة الصامتة للنصوص مع الفهم المحتوياتها. وذلك ليكتسب التلميذ مهارة القراءة الفردية. - وتعويده كذلك على القراءة الجهرية، حيث يدرب المعلم التلميذ في الحصة على قراءة أجزاء من النص، مع مراعاة الأداء السليم والنطق الصحيح . تراكيب جديدة : يتدرب التلميذ في كل وحدة على تركيب جديد من التراكيب الأساسية للغة العربية، ويعتمد الكتاب على استخدام الصورة في جميع التدريبات، ويقدم الأمثلة التي يقيس عليها التلميذ بمعاونة المعلم، ويقومون بأدائها جماعيا وفرديا. تصبير مصور (شفهي) : تحتوي كل وحدة على تدريب في التعبير الشفهي المصور حيث يكلف التلاميذ بالإجابة عن الأسئلة معتمدين على الصورة. كراس التمارين : جاء تصميم التمارين كما يلي : استيعاب الحوار : تمرين هدفه مراقبة درجة فهم التلميذ لمعاني عبارات الحوار . المفردات : عني هذا المستوى بتدريبات المفردات، فتعددت أنواعها مسايرة لكثرة المفردات في النصوص : (حول من المفرد إلى المثنى ، املأ الفراغ بكَلِمَةٍ أو عبارة مُناسبة من عندك ... الخ). التعبير الكتابي : هو تمرين هدفه تمكين التلميذ من مهارة استخدام اللغة والتعبير كتابيا تعبيرا صحيحا. فهم المقروء : تدريب التلميذ على استيعاب وفهم النصوص التي تتميز بطول نسبي . قواعد اللغة : تم عرضها في هذا المستوى بشكل منتظم ومبسط وبصورة سهلة ومتدرجة، بحيث يدرس التلميذ القاعدة اللغوية على دفعات ليستوعبها أكثر في يُسر . فدروس القواعد ليست غاية، بقدر ما هي وسيلة تمكن التلاميذ من التعبير الصحيح، وتقوي ملكات التعبير الشفوي والكتابي في نفوسهم، فتنمي طبيعتهم على التفكير المنظم والنطق السليم، وتدفعهم إلى الإبداع في البحث والعمل. مهارات لغوية : اشتمل هذا المستوى على 7 مهارات لغوية، تعرض مهارة واحدة منها في كل وحدة، وجاءت هذه المهارات متدرجة بدءاً بالأسهل. ويتم تقديم المهارة أولا مصحوبة بأمثلة عليها . ثم يدرب عليها ببعض التدريبات. الإملاء : يقدم هذا المستوى الإملاء عن طريق كتابة التلميذ لما يعلى عليه من طرف المعلم من عبارات محتوية على قواعد وظواهر إملائية محددة وقعت دراستها في حصة «مهارات لغوية». الكتابة وتحسين الخط : يُدرب التلميذ على تحسين الخط عند كتابة فقرة قصيرة. ويعالج التدريب جميع الحروف العربية في أشكالها المختلفة. حقيبة المعلم : تحتوي على : دليل المعلم : الذي يهدف إلى تزويد المعلم بخطوات سير الدروس التي ستمكنه من القيام بالتدريس بطريقة فعالة، وتحقيق أفضل النتائج. وقد تضمن إرشادات عامة للمعلم ومقترحات بكيفية القيام بالتدريس. كل صور كتاب التلميذ مطبوعة على شكل بطاقات مصورة ولوحات يستعملها المعلم داخل القسم. تسجيل صوتي المحتويات كتاب التلميذ
