أساس أن إرادة الله لا تخضع لمحاكمة العقل ولا المنطق. ثم إن محمداً لم يأت إلا بماهوسيئ وغير إنساني،كأمره بنشر الإسلام بحد السيف. وقبل تقديم الإضاءة الإسلامية لما انطوت عليه كلمات البابا أضع بين أيدي الأخوة الحاضرين، والمستمعين الحقائق التالية: الحقائق التالية هي إضاءات إسلامية لما يحتاجه هذا الكتاب: أالتعاليم القرآنية، والتوجيهات النبوية، تمنعنا أن نجادل أهل الكتاب إلا بالتي هي أحسن، وسألتزم الأدب النبوي حينما أرسل النبي الكريم رسالة إلى قيصر ملك الروم، فقال له فيها: من محمد رسول الله إلى عظيم الروم. القصد من هذا الكتاب التوضيح والبيان: ليس القصد من هذه الخطبة التي تلقى في هذا المسجد أَحَداً إِلَّا اللَّهَ ﴾ تمتع المسلمون والمسيحيون في بلادنا بنوع من التفاهم والتعايش : يتمتع المسلمون والمسيحيون في بلادنا بنوع من التفاهم والتعايش والتعاون قل مثيله في بلدان أخرى، قال تعالى: ﴿ فَمَا اسْتَقَامُوا لَكُمْ فَاسْتَقِيمُوا لَهُمْ ﴾ المسيحيون في بلادنا عبروا عن أسفهم الشديد ، وعن استنكارهم الأكيد للكلمات التي أدلى بها بابا الفاتيكان، فلا يؤخذ أحد بجريرة أحد، والتعميم من العمى، قال تعالى: ﴿ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى﴾ ما تناقلته وسائل الإعلام العالمية : وقد تناقلت وسائل الإعلام العالمية تصريحاً للبابا أنه لم يقصد الإساءة للمسلمين، وأنه تأسف أشد الأسف لما حصل من تداعيات لكلماته. رفض اللجوء إلى العنف ونحن في هذا البلد الطيب نرفض أشد الرفض اللجوء إلى العنف، فرد الفعل الانفعالي ضار مثل الفعل تماماً؛ فالفكرة ترد بالفكرة، والقول بالقول، والتصريح المعلن بالتصريح المعلن، والمحاضرة بالمحاضرة، والحوار بالحوار. وقد اعتمد الدكتور الأسئلة التالية في الرد على البابا الأسئلة التالية : هل من السيئ التعريف الرائع بمعجزة ميلاد السيد المسيح ؟ هل من السيئ الذي جاء به محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم التعريف الرائع بمعجزة ميلاد السيد المسيح: ﴿ فَأَتَتْ بِهِ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُ قَالُوا يَا مَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْئاً فَرِيّاً * يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ امْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيّاً * فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ قَالُوا كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَنْ كَانَ فِي الْمَهْدِ صَبِيّاً * قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آَتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيّاً * وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكاً أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُ وَأَوْصْانِي بِالصّلاةِ والزَّكَاةِ مَا دُمْت حَيّاً * وَبَرّاً بِوَالِدَتِي وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي جَبَّاراً شَقِيّاً * وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدْتُ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيّاً ﴾ هل من لسيئ التعريف الكريم الودود بالشخصية الوجيهة بالسيد المسيح ؟ هل من السيئ الذي جاء به محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم التعريف الكريم الودود بالشخصية الوجيهة بالسيد المسيح: ﴿ إِذْ قَالَتْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَامَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمِنْ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ﴾ هل من السيئ التعريف بإعجاز نبوة المسيح ورسالته ؟ هل من السيئ الذي جاء به محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم: التعريف بإعجاز نبوة المسيح ورسالته: ﴿ إِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَاعِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ اذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكَ وَعَلى وَالِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنْ الطِّينِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِي فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًا بِإِذْنِي وَتُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِي وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتَى بِإِذْنِي﴾ هل من السيئ التعريف بالإنجيل الذي أنزله الله على سيدنا المسيح ؟ هل من السيئ الذي جاء به محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم: التعريف بالإنجيل الذي أنزله الله على سيدنا المسيح: ﴿ وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَى آثَارِهِمْ بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ التَّوْرَاةِ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنْ التَّوْرَاةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةً لِلْمُتَّقِينَ﴾ هل من السيئ تمجيد أم المسيح الصدّيقة مريم وترسيخ اليقين بطهرها ؟ وهل من السيئ الذي جاء به محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم: تمجيد أم المسيح الصدّيقة مريم والدفاع عنها، ورفع ذكرها في الكتاب، وترسيخ اليقين بطهرها: ﴿ وَإِذْ قَالَتْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَامَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَى نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ﴾ هل من السيئ أنه وصف صنفاً من أهل الكتاب بالتقوى والصلاح ؟ وهل من السيئ الذي جاء به محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم: أنه وصف صنفاً من أهل الكتاب، بالتقوى والصلاح، فقال تعالى: ﴿ لَيْسُوا سَوَاءً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أُمَّةٌ قَائِمَةٌ يَتْلُونَ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ*يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَأُوْلَئِكَ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ ﴾ هل من السيئ أن جعل رسول الإسلام الإيمان بالمسيح عيسى بن مريم من أركان؟ وهل من السيئ الذي جاء به محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم: أن جعل رسول الإسلام الإيمان بالمسيح عيسى بن مريم من أركان الإيمان في الدين الإسلامي، ومدخلا إلى الجنة فقال عليه الصلاة والسلام: ((من شهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، وأنَّ محمداً عبدُه ورسولُه، وأن عيسى عبدُ الله ورسولُه، وكلمتُه ألقاها إلى مريم وروح منه، والجنةُ والنار حق أدخله الله الجنة على ما كان من العمل)) هل من السيئ أن وصف العلاقة بين رجال الدين في الديانتين بأنها مبنية على المودة؟ وهل من السيئ الذي جاء به محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم أن وصف العلاقة بين رجال الدين، في الديانتين، بأنها مبنية على المودة والتقدير، فقال تعالى: ﴿ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُمْ مَوَدَّةً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَى ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ﴾ أي سوء في هذا العدل، والإنصاف، والكمال، والجمال، والذي جاء به محمد عليه الصلاة والسلام ؟.. وأي عقل وأي منطق هذا الذي يحول الحسن إلى قبح، والكمال إلى نقص، وتوقير السيد المسيح وأمه ودينه إلى إساءات غير إنسانية؟!

The Socio-Intellectual Foundations of Malek Bennabi's Approach to Civilization
Since the publication of Samuel Huntington’s The Clash of Civilizations, concern about civilization has been reintroduced into the debate on the world order. Malek Bennabi (1905–1973), prominent Algerian thinker and great Muslim intellectual, intently focused on unraveling the causes of Muslim decline and the success of Western civilization and culture. The key problem he theorized lay not in the Qur’an or Islamic faith but in Muslims themselves. The author investigates Bennabi’s approach to civilization and the fundamental principles drawn, using metatheorizing methodology. In doing so he sheds further light on perhaps one of the more intriguing elements of Bennabi’s theory, that civilization is governed by internal-external and social-intellectual factors and that an equation can be generated for civilization itself. This equation of Man+Soil+Time = Civilization and of which religion, according to Bennabi, forms the all-important catalyst, is explained and its significance in terms of the reversal of Muslim decline evaluated. What is clearly apparent is that for Bennabi, Man is the central force in any civilizing process and without him the other two elements are of no value. With regard to outcomes, Bennabi’s unerring conviction that unless Muslims changed their spiritual condition they could not affect any far-reaching, meaningful change in society is echoed in the Qur’anic verse: “Verily, never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves” (13:11).
