Arabic for Youth Workbook: Level 2

Jeunesse Sans Frontières introduces Arabic for youth in the highly successful Al Habib Affas series. This modern curriculum takes non-speakers of Arabic on a journey from the basics to a level equivalent to native speakers by consolidating and broadening their language skills. Classical Arabic is presented clearly and inclusively to meet the needs of learners living in the West. The Al Habib Affas series is systematically divided into three parts: Reading, Conversation, and Arabic Culture. 

Reading: Skills are developed through close examination of authentic passages and regular vocabulary exercises focused on word-building techniques. The series includes Classical Arabic excerpts without the distractions of spoken dialects. 

Conversation: A careful balance of authentic and scripted listening materials builds conversational skills with native speakers of Arabic. 

Arabic Culture: Students are introduced to both Arabic and Western cultural patterns to deepen their understanding of this timeless language. 

Each section has specific objectives enabling learners to use the language accurately in a variety of syntactical structures, ranging from typical exercises to practical conversations. The curriculum also develops fluency through communication, discovery, reflection, and application. The Al Habib Affas series equips learners to confidently engage with different types of written, spoken, and listening texts.
